Welcome to the Second Chance Farm Website.
We are a small family owned and operated farm in Limestone Tennessee. We believe in and practice sustainable agriculture. Sustainable agriculture is what farming used to be, before the advent of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
We build and preserve our soils with crop rotation and the use of composted organic materials such as manures and vegetable and plant residue. We also add natural minerals such as Lime and potash when needed. We do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides. This approach is healthier for the soil, the vegetables, and ultimately, you. To control insects our farm layout is set up to attract beneficial insects to help control harmful insects, and we spend a lot of time picking bugs!
